3RD XI CRICKET V FEILDING

The 3rd XI travelled to Feilding to play their 1st game of the bottom 8 competition.

The 3rds won the toss and chose to bat on a very dry looking outfield. A slow start was made as the 3rds battled through the first 10 overs to be 26-2. A very patient innings from Max Herbert and Aadesh Ganugapati gained momentum over time as they put on a 115 run partnership. At 155-4 off 31 overs the innings was poised for a strong finish. Regular wickets never allowed the score to reach its full potential as the 3rds were bowled out for 203 in 38 overs, 2 overs short of the full allotment. Max Herbert 61, Aadesh Ganugapati 51, Callum Kennett 22.

Feilding came out swinging going at 7 an over for the first 5 overs. The 3rds held some good catches and Thomas Bell and Camryn Caffell chipped away at the top order. Spin was introduced just before drinks taking some more wickets as Feilding were now in trouble at 81-6. It took a further 10 overs to get the last 4 wickets as Feilding were bowled out for 106 in 30 overs. Josh Langridge 3-24, 2 wickets each to Thomas Bell, Camryn Caffell and Mr Vindriis. A win by 97 runs.
