2019 Scholarship results were released earlier this week and it was our pleasure to be able to congratulate our top achievers at assembly this morning. Scholarship is the highest New Zealand academic qualification for secondary school students. In 2019 PNBHS students gained 34 Scholarships, including two Outstanding Scholarships. Young men who gain three or more Scholarship passes, or who achieve an Outstanding Scholarship pass, have their names recorded on the Academic Honours Board in the hall and receive an Academic Honours Tie and presentations were made to these young men at assembly this morning:
Nikhil Banerjee - Scholarship passes in Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Outstanding Scholarship in Calculus (Nikhil is currently on a Spirit of Adventure voyage)
Andrew Karatea - Scholarship passes in English, Geography, History
Paul Lee - Scholarship passes in Chemistry, Calculus, Economics (Paul achieved his Scholarships as a Year 12 student and will receive his Honours tie at the school prizegiving in December)
Antariksh Nag - Scholarship passes in English, Statistics, Media Studies, Economics
Kavindith Rodrigo - Scholarship pass in Physics, Outstanding Scholarship in Calculus (Kavindith achieved his Scholarships as a Year 12 student and has subsequently moved to Christchurch with his family so was unable to attend)
William Wood- Scholarship passes in English, Economics, History, Health and Physical Education
