Kia ora koutou,
The Te Oro Karaka Kahui Ako | Community of Learning would like to extend an invitation to all whānau and friends in our school communities to a presentation – ‘Fostering Resilience and Enhancing Connections’ - by Dr. Kirsty Ross. This presentation will provide you with practical advice so you can support your children from childhood through to their teenage years.
Dr. Ross is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Massey University and will focus on how basic concepts can help amid modern life challenges that can cause distress for young people and leave families and whānau feeling disconnected. Often this means literally disconnected, as a result of addictive digital devices and social media that present one of the greatest challenges for parents today.
Date: TUESDAY 11 FEBRUARY 2020
Time: 7.00 PM
Venue: SPEIRS CENTRE, PALMERSTON NORTH BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL
Cost: FREE TO OUR COMMUNITY
Regardless of the age and year level of your children, Dr. Ross’ presentation will include information to help whānau support and encourage them as they grow and develop.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.
Ngā mihi | Kind regards,
On behalf of the Te Oro Karaka Kahui Ako | Community of Learning
