When he retired at the end of 2019 Mr. Chris Welch, Head of Metalwork, presented this handmade sculpture to PNBHS. Made using a shell from a WWII era Bofors gun and spent rifle cartridges, it is a fitting reflection of the very high quality of Mr. Welch’s tradecraft. The shell is engraved with the words ‘PNBHS, Lest We Forget’ and is displayed in the Memorial Gallery.
