1st XI Football v Francis Douglas Memorial College

PlaceMakers PNBHS 1st XI played Francis Douglas Memorial College yesterday, winning 12–0. Boys’ High started well, dominating both territory and possession early in FDMC side. Several scoring opportunities went begging before Joey Thomas got the “ball rolling” and banged in four consecutive unanswered goals, followed by another by Ben Mori.

After half time, Ben Mori and Jaiden Meyer found their “goal scoring radar” with Ben knocking in two more goals to complete his hat-trick. Jaiden Meyer also got a hat-trick, courtesy of a well taken penalty, plus two field goals. With the team sticking to their attacking game plan, Ryan Watson and Mason Charlton found the back of the net to complete the scoring bananza. Even though the score “blew out” a bit, FDMC were still competitive to the end.

Of note, Brooklynn Browne, Alex King, Daniel McDougall and Jayden Simpson had solid games.

The 1st XI would like to thank our team sponsors: PlaceMakers Palmerston North and JG Residential.
