1st XI Hockey Report vs College Premier Reserve - Saturday 18th July 2020
On Saturday the 1st XI Hockey team played College Premier Reserve at the Twin Turfs. After a loss the previous week, PNBHS wanted to go out and prove themselves by playing to their game plan and playing as a team.
The 1st XI started well with excellent team structure, allowing them to move the ball around the field with relative ease. Matthew Dellow opened the scoring with an outstanding goal in the first quarter.
PNBHS gained some ascendancy in the second quarter with Hael Pritchard finding the net, making the score two-nil at halftime. The 1st XI's youth and superior fitness came to the fore in the third quarter as they continued to play an excellent brand of hockey. This resulted in two further goals to Perry Smith and Malaki Masoe from a penalty corner.
The final quarter did not see any further goals with the game finishing with a four-nil win to the 1st XI.
Next week the 1st XI play the final match of the round against Marist Sabres.
