Congratulations to Prefect and PNBHS Senior A Badminton Captain Matthew Cao, who has now earned five New Zealand Super Eight Schools’ badges. The most recent of these was for the Senior A team’s victory at the New Zealand Super Eight Schools Badminton tournament earlier this week in Napier. Earlier this year he was awarded a New Zealand Super Eight Schools Academic badge after gaining NCEA Level Three endorsed with Excellence in 2019. In 2019 Matthew was also awarded a New Zealand Super Eight Schools Academic badge for achieving NCEA Level Two endorsed with Excellence and another New Zealand Super Eight Schools badge for being part of the PNBHS Stage Band, who were winners at the New Zealand Super Eight Schools Cultural Festival. In 2018 Matthew was part of the PNBHS Senior A Badminton team that won the New Zealand Super Eight Schools competition and he received his first Super Eight badge.
This is a fantastic achievement and is a testament to Matthew’s dedication and determination in all aspects of school life.
