The Year 10 New Zealand Studies class recently visited the Taranaki and Whanganui regions as part of their study of 19th Century New Zealand. The fieldtrip provided the opportunity for students to be shown a number of important historical sites. The fieldtrip focused on the New Zealand Wars and the European settlement of both regions and a number of historical sites around Whanganui, Patea and Hawera were included in the group's itinerary.
