Last night the 12 players selected this week from our Premier Basketball squad took to the court in the opening game of the Regional Adult’s Premier Basketball Competition. Our boys in blue were up against the men in green, Slow Break.
The team arrived, looking sharp in their warm-up tops, generously provided by our sponsors. The boys implemented their pre-game warm-up written by third-year UColl student, Manaaki Todd.
High energy throughout the game was the order of the day – that and put into action everything we train for. The team, led by captain, Campbell Woollley, did exactly that. Our defence put pressure on the opposition allowing our offense to capitalise at the other end. As each quarter ended, the gap widened, finishing with a good win of 105 – 85 to PNBHS.
