The Super 8 Chess and Theatresports teams travelled to Gisborne on Thursday, to participate in the Super 8 Cultural Festival, hosted by Gisborne Boys' High.

Representing PNBHS in Chess were Eli Hancock, Tommy Lu, Alex Clayton and Oliver Sexton.

Representing PNBHS in Theatresports were William Hince, Ali Alaswad, Nicholas Dewhurst, Jonathan Stone and Cameron Baker.

The festival took place over the course of Friday and Saturday with teams travelling back Saturday afternoon.

Chess received 3rd place, and the Most Valuable Player was awarded to Tommy Lu.

Theatresports received 2nd place, missing out on 1st place by half a mark.

Mr Andrew Turner (Gisborne Boys' High Principal) made a surprise guest appearance as the Theatresports competition MC.

An enjoyable time was had and well done to all boys who participated.
