At assembly this morning Josh Bergerson, Club Captain of Albion, was presented with the Butler Cup for Cricket. The inter-club Cricket competition dates back to 1919 when it was contested by the four original clubs – Albion, Gordon, kia Ora and Phoenix. In 1920 a cup was donated by Mr. J. A. Butler, father of three sons who all attended PNBHS, including Lex, who lost his life in World War One, and whose name is recorded on our WWI Roll of Honour in the Memorial Gallery.
