2023 RSA POPPY DAY COLLECTION 

DETAILS.

Student volunteers will collect donations for the Returned and Services Association (RSA) with a partner from PNBHS. They will be allocated an outdoor location within the Central Business District (CDB - around The Square) or an entrance to one of our local Supermarkets.

Prefects will assist and supervise those students collecting donations. 

TIMES and DATE.

You must help between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm on Friday, 21 April 2023. PLEASE NOTE: This is the second week of the school holidays.

VENUE.

Volunteers will be based at the Senior Citizens Association Rooms, 309 Main Street, Palmerston North (opposite the Globe Theatre).

Prefects and volunteers are responsible for making their way to and from the Senior Citizens Association Rooms.

PERMISSION SLIP.

Permission slip to be handed to me before Friday, 7 April 2023 or forward a copy to lobba@pnbhs.school.nz before Friday, 21 April. (Copy attached)

DRESS.

The dress for the Poppy Day collection will be as follows. 

Option 1: Those who OWN a school blazer (junior or senior) and school tie should wear the school's formal number 1 uniform option. Our formal uniform consists of; a school blazer (age-appropriate - which means seniors to wear a senior blazer, juniors to wear a junior blazer), a white dress shirt (long sleeve with collar), a school tie, school trousers, black dress socks and polished black leather laced shoes.

Option 2: Those senior students who do not have a blazer can wear a black senior jersey with a white dress shirt (long sleeve with collar), school tie, school trousers, black dress socks and polished black leather laced shoes.

Option 3: All other students are to wear their regular school uniform, with school socks and polished black leather laced shoes. Your shirt sleeves should be neatly folded and positioned just above your elbow. Make sure you have your black school jacket with you.

GROOMING.

Your hair must be compliant with section 26.2 of our school rules, and you must be clean-shaven.

EXTRA.

Please bring a water bottle and a school jacket in case of rain. It would be best if you also supplied your lunch and snacks.
