The annual New Zealand Schools Japanese Trivia Championships was held at IPU last Friday night.
There were 13 competing teams this year from Awatapu College, Fielding High School, Freyberg High School, St Peter’s College, Otaki College and Palmerston North Boys' High.
We entered 3 teams:
“Za・Booizu/ザ・ボーイズ” (The Boys)- Ethan Kaandorp, Kayden Kuiti, Alex Sharpe and Silas Steer
“Danshikou/男子校” (Boys School)- Kiahn Burt, Finn Foster and Campbell Mackintosh
“Shinjin/しんじん” (Rookies)- Callum Godfrey, Isaac Li, Ashton O’Connor and Liam Tauli
Our boys did well and “Za・Booizu” was pipped at the post – by ONE point only! They earned a well-deserved 2nd place. Lots of fun was had by all.
