Manawatu Secondary Schools Table Tennis Teams Competition – Term 2.

Manawatu Secondary Schools Table Tennis Teams Competition – Term 2.

In the Term 2 Teams Table Tennis Competition, the school had 96 registered table tennis players. These players created their own teams of three to form 32 teams. 

 Results: 

 The PNBHS Paddle Pops team of Manaia Matehaere, Leighton Mackay-Floyd and Adam Sands won the the Division 5 final. 

 Manaia Matehaere, Logan Earle and Leighton Mackay-Floyd finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Division 5 Individual Standings. 

 Unfortunately, the PNBHS Allstars team of Nikhil Rana, Riley O’Connor and Omi Rawat lost to Longburn Adventist College in the Division 4 final. 

 Robbie Munro and Riley O’Connor finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the Division 4 Individual Standings. 

 The PNBHS Maccas team of Callum Godfrey, Ethan Burmeister and Marc Kaiser won the Division 3 final. 

Tim Harjes and Ben Irwin finished 1 and 2nd respectively in the Division 3 Individual Standings. 

The PNBHS Post Molestum team of Logan Turner, Jack Osborne, James Rattray won the Division 2 final. 

Jack Osborne, Harry Maxwell and Jesse Akepogu finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Division 2 Individual Standings. 

The PNBHS Matrix team of Daniel Alefaio, Simon Ton and Edmund Brown won the Division 1 final. 

Sebastian Finlayson finished 3rd in the Division 1 Individual Standings. 

The PNBHS Goats team of Angus Bilsland, Alvi Kabir and Oscar O’Brien defeated PNBHS Cho-lei team of Moshe Adam, Landon Lau and Jarom Erueti to win the Premier Grade final and, in doing so, secured the prestigious Trophy Specialists Cup, awarded to the Premier Secondary Schools League Winners.  

Akshay Aneesh finished top of the Premier Grade Individual Standings. Angus Bilsland and Alvi Kabir finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Premier Grade Individual Standings. 

Manawatu Secondary Schools Individual Competition 

On Wednesday 21 June, players from the school competed in and dominated the Manawatu Secondary Schools Individual U15 and U19 Age Group Competitions. 

Results: 

The Under 15 Boys competition was won by Hadley James who defeated Angus Bilslandin the final. Jarom Erueti and Sebastian Finlayson finished third equal. 

The Under 19 Boys competition was won by Akshay Aneesh who defeated Brandon Lee in the final. Fraser James finished third.
