Josh (Class of 2023), Armani (Yr 11), Saem (Deputy Head Prefect) and Jesse (Yr 11), successfully auditioned in 2022 and are now members of the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir.
For the past year, they have attended intensive workshops during school holidays, prepared an extensive repertoire, and have performed in concerts throughout the country. They are now fundraising for the choir’s international tour to Beijing where they will participate in the China International Chorus Festival, one of the largest and most prestigious international chorus festival gatherings in the Asia-Pacific region.
Individually they must raise $5,000 towards their expenses. They have organised a fundraising concert – Come Fly with Us – to be held at the Speirs Centre on 6th April. The concert will feature a mix of Palmy talent including vocalists, musicians and dancers.
