Please find below the arrangements for the Road Race that is to take place on Tuesday, 9 April 2024.
All students are expected to compete in the race unless they have a genuine medical reason, accompanied by a note that must be handed to Mr Atkin, the Deputy Rector.
If your son is a bus student, he will be transported to Ongley Park and back to school. Juniors who run in the first race (Under 14 as at 1st January 2024) will be released from assembly first and will be transported by bus to Ongley Park, unless they are being taken by a parent/caregiver.
All other students will also be transported by bus to Ongley Park unless they are driving or being taken by a parent/caregiver. Students who have a school vehicle pass and will be driving to Ongley Park are to park their vehicles in the carpark adjacent to the United Cricket Clubrooms and the croquet greens. Students who bike to school must take the bus to/from Ongley Park as there is no suitable place to store bikes.
Please note; students are not permitted to walk to the park, as it takes too long and creates disruption through town.
Students can leave for home at the conclusion of the Road Race directly from Ongley Park. Any students requiring transport back to school will be bused back. Bus students will be bused back to school in time to catch their normal after school bus.

16 & OVER (as at 1 Jan 2024) - 12.10pm
UNDER 15 (as at 1 Jan 2024) - 12.40pm
UNDER 16 (as at 1 Jan 2024) - 1.10pm
We would ask that you please remind your son to bring his lunch and a good amount of water to drink.
We would also appreciate if you would please impress on your son the need to bring his club uniform, appropriate running shoes (for the road), white socks, sunblock and a sun hat (optional). In the event that the weather may be cold, he should also pack in his bag his school jersey and/or rain jacket.
