Year 12 student George Fell and Year 11 student Sam Cole have been successful in recent Surf Life Saving competitions.
At the Capital Surf Life Saving Championships George was second overall in the U17 category after finishing first in U17 Beach Flags, U19 Beach Sprints and U19 Relay and second in the U17 Beach Sprints and Open Sprints. At the same event Sam was second overall in the U15 category after finishing first in U15 Beach Flags, U15 Beach Sprints and U19 Relay and second in the U15 5km run, third in the U15 Run Swim Run and U15 Ocean Swim.
The sea conditions restricted events at the Hawke's Bay Surf Life Saving Championships. George won both the U17 Beach Sprints and Beach Flags while Sam was second in the U15 Beach Sprints and U15 Beach Flags.
