Congratulations to Jacob Lean who was named Athlete of the Meet at yesterday’s PNBHS Athletics Championships and was presented with the trophy and medal. The Athlete of the Meet title is determined by points on an international ranking system which are awarded for performances in individual events. For the first time ever, this award was a three-way tie and needed to be determined by considering the athletes' performances in the other events they contested. Jacob was also presented with the Rector’s Cup, which is awarded to the young man who has earned the most points for their club at the PNBHS Athletics Championships. Jacob was first in the Open 10,000m, first in the Senior 5,000m, first in the Senior 3,000m and first in the Senior 1,500m – an outstanding achievement.
