At the recent New Zealand Mountain Biking Championship, Travis Bennett competed in his first event for the school, racing in the Under 16 Boy’s Downhill and Enduro. He had a great competition, finishing 34th and 31st in the respective races.
In the Cross-Country events, Cruz Webb finished 19th in the Under 14 Boy’s race, while in the Under 15 Boy’s race Hugo Skerman won silver. Jimmy Linklater was a late replacement in the same race and finished a commendable 17th. All three of these riders teamed up in the Under 16 Boy’s Cross Country Relay and just missed out on the medals in fourth place. However, all three are eligible to race again next year in the same grade, so they will be aiming to finish in the medals.
