ELT:

There are five ELT classes. These classes cater for both permanent residents and international students.

  • Year 9      and 10 option classes
  • Year 11.      NCEA Level 1 and ESOL Unit Standards, if required
  • Year 12   NCEA Level 2 and EAP Unit Standards ,if      required
  • Year 13.      NCEA Level 2 and 3 and EAP Unit Standards, if required
  • Individual      or group assistance as required

Funded students are assessed and graded as per Ministry of Education guidelines.

Year 9 ELT

  • Learning      how to communicate competently in English

 Entry and Exit level

  • From      Intermediate School  or recent entry      to New Zealand as International Students, immigrants, refugee status      immigrants.
  • Exit      level End of Year 10

One group of students will do the NCEA programme and the second group a second programme that meets their needs and ability level.
