Moodle Activity Examples

If you would like this quiz in your own Moodle course, then first log in with username manager and password moodle. Then follow the instructions from the  Moodle documentation on backing up and restoring activities.

This is a series of text files in GIFT format, over 350 questions, for learning chemical nomenclature. I used this with my students so they could practice writing formulas and translating from formula to written names. This isn't exciting stuff, it's either name that compound or write the formula name. Rather than upload one file, I sorted them into separate files according to type (according to the Zumdahl text):

Type 1a - binary compounds Group Ia & IIa metals/non-metal
Type 1b - compounds of Group Ia & IIa metals/polyatomic ions
Type 2a - binary compounds of transition metals/non-metals
Type 2b - compounds of transition metals/polyatomic ions
Type 3 - binary compounds of non-metals

The file on acids contains the inorganic acids.
