Our annual school Careers Week is an opportunity for young men to learn more about possible future career pathways and how these link to their studies at school   This year’s careers week is particularly focused at Year 10 and 11 students, although young men in other year levels can enroll to attend the presentations.

During the week, presentations being held in the Speirs Centre, and young men may opt to attend up to three of them.

Options are outlined on the Careerwise site –  (ctrl + click or copy and paste into your web browser) pnbhs.careerwise.nz or on the PNBHS Stratus site stratus.pnbhs.school.nz (go to Stratus/Students/Careers).  Students register to attend the presentations through an on line registration process, available at these sites. Places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first in’ basis.

In addition to the presentations, there are two further opportunities to explore career pathways during the week:

·       Monday, June 18 - Mr Charlie Duncan from Otiwhiti Station will be in C3 at 1.20pm to outline training opportunities available in the Primary Industries at Otiwhiti Station – all young men welcome, no registration necessary

·       Wednesday, June 20 – jobFEST at Manfeild in Feilding, to directly link employers from the transport, logistics and warehousing industries with students looking for employment - register with Mr Adams in the Careers Room (limited places available, allocated on a ‘first in’ basis)

·       Friday, June 22 – Health Careers Day – visit to Mid Central Health – register with Mr Adams in the Careers Room (limited places available, allocated on a ‘first in’ basis)
