On Thursday 21st Feb PNBHS teamed up with Massey University and Talent Central to provide a fantastic opportunity for the AgriBusiness students at school. The day began at Massey University with a talk from an AgCommerce lecturer and a practical experience for the students examining the 'value-chain' of a number of different products and the process involved in the development of these products from the role of the producer through to the consumer.

Following their time at Massey the students transferred out to the Stewart's farm in Ashhurst where they spent an hour hearing from Entrepreneur & Young New Zealander of the year nominee, Logan Williams. He spoke passionately to the boys about his journey from Timaru to successful entrepreneur and the skills and attributes that have served him well.

The boys also then had the opportunity to have a tour of the Stewart family farm, a leader in innovation and hear from James about some of the challenges facing farmers today and how he tries to 'future-proof' his operation.

This was a fantastic day that opened the eyes of the students involved into the size and scope of AgriBusiness. Again we would like to extend our thanks to Massey University, Talent Central and James Stewart for their time and energies in providing this experience for our young men.
